At Hands in Action we are dedicated to the children and families in Guatemala. We want to minister to the child’s whole needs. (Spirit, Mind and Body) We would serve 1 of our 8 nutritious meals served with a treat and a piece of fruit.
We would expect this program to start slowly, but through experience it will continue to grow rapidly. If we serve this meal ONLY once a week, it only cost us $30 to feed 100 children per day. This is the wisdom God has blessed us with in helping our past community.
In the world today, there are people who, on a daily basis, survive with little or no food. That is especially true in Guatemala. The poverty rate in Guatemala is over 52%. In Guatemala most people earn about 2 dollars a day to feed their families and pay their bills. The cost for utilities and food is very close to the prices in the United States. Could you support your family on 60 dollars a month?
