Remembering Our Benefits (Blessing)
As I was reading one of my devotionals today, it was about my favorite Psalm, not the 23, but Psalm 103. This Psalm is my favorite because it is a constant reminder to me, of what Jesus purchased for us at the cross. It is what I call; my benefits package.
I remember when I use to have a regular job and when I started with a company. They went over the benefits package, I would be receiving while employed in their company. This was always wonderful to know. I had health and dental insurance, 2 weeks vacation a year etc. These were wonderful but what if I stayed ignorant or did not use them? That would be very foolish! If I got sick and went to the hospital, and then paid for it myself, when I had insurance to cover it. This would not be wise.
So this Thanksgiving, I want to give you something to be grateful for and also to remind you of your benefits when you became a child of God.Psalm 103:
- He forgives all your sins.
- He heals all your diseases! (please read this one over and over)
- He redeems your life from destruction.
- He crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.
- He satisfies your mouth with good things, so your youth is renewed like eagles.
- He executes righteousness and judgment for you.
- He set you free.
- He makes His ways known to you.
- He gives you His grace and mercy in times of need.
